Challenges we solve

Common problems that slow down your workflow — and how Ratio Ready handles each one.

Baby shower suites have 8-12+ pieces

A full baby shower suite includes invitation, RSVP, thank-you card, advice card, baby predictions card, games (bingo, baby mad libs, guess the baby), banners, table signs, food labels, diaper raffle. Prepping each individually for print burns hours.

Mixed sizes within one suite

Invitations are 5x7. Games are usually Letter (8.5x11). Banners are 8.5x11 horizontal. Table tents are 4x6. One suite = 4 different size profiles. Manual export per size = 4× the work.

Letter vs A4 international compatibility

US buyers print games on Letter. UK/EU/AU buyers print on A4. Selling only Letter excludes 40-60% of international buyers. Doing both manually doubles the prep work.

Personalisation per buyer adds another layer

Many buyers want the baby’s name + due date + parent names personalised on the suite. Doing this in Photoshop per buyer order means 30 minutes of setup time on top of the design work.

Your workflow with Ratio Ready

1

Upload your suite designs

Drop all 8-12 pieces of your baby shower suite at once. Each gets validated for size + resolution. Pastel watercolour, hand-illustrated, AI-generated, or vintage typography — all formats supported.

2

Configure suite-wide settings

Set print sizes per piece type (5x7 for invites, Letter + A4 for games, 8.5x11 for banners). Pick a mockup style (cream paper + sage ribbon, kraft + dried baby’s breath, pastel pink + greenery).

3

Process the entire suite at once

Each piece resizes to its target dimensions at 300 DPI. Bleed added where needed (5x7 invites). Mockups composited automatically. The whole suite finishes in 60-90 seconds.

4

Download organised ZIP

Get a ZIP organised by piece type — invites/, games/, banners/, signs/. Each folder contains print files plus listing previews. Optional listing PDF describing the suite. Upload to Etsy or send to a print shop.

When you’d use this

Four common scenarios where Ratio Ready saves the most time:

  1. Launching a 12-piece baby shower suite. You designed a 12-piece pastel watercolour shower suite (invite, RSVP, thank-you, 5 games, 3 banners, food-label set). Drop everything in, get back the entire bundle in 90 seconds — replaces an evening of per-piece Photoshop export.
  2. Adding international (A4) games to existing Letter listings. Your shop sells baby shower games in Letter only. Re-run every design through Ratio Ready with Letter + A4 selected; suddenly your listings work for the 40-60% of international buyers using A4. Doubled addressable market.
  3. Refreshing mockups for a different shower theme. Your spring listings used pastel + dried baby’s breath mockups; for autumn launches you want sage + dried wildflowers. Swap mockup sets, re-run every design, every listing’s gallery refreshed in one batch.
  4. Generating per-buyer personalisation via API. Buyer pays + provides baby name + due date in Etsy order metadata. Make.com automation triggers Ratio Ready API with personalised file. ZIP delivered to buyer with their specific names rendered. Fully automated personalisation workflow.

Common mistakes

Mistakes I’ve seen (and made) that cost real time and refunds:

1. Forgetting bleed on the 5x7 invitations

5x7 invites going to a print shop need 0.125" bleed each side (file = 5.25 x 7.25 inches at 300 DPI = 1,575 x 2,175 pixels). Without bleed, trim variation cuts inside the design and produces thin white edges. Always design invites with bleed; Ratio Ready handles this automatically.

2. Selling games in Letter only (excluding international)

Letter (8.5x11) is US standard; A4 (210x297mm) is everywhere else. International buyers can't print Letter files cleanly on A4 paper — content gets cropped or scaled awkwardly. Always offer both Letter + A4 versions of every game and activity sheet.

3. Mixing inconsistent mockup styles within one suite

If your invitation mockup is on cream linen but your RSVP is on marble, the suite reads as disjointed. Use one consistent mockup style across the entire suite — pastel paper + soft greenery, kraft + dried flowers, etc. Visual cohesion signals quality.

4. Designing critical text near the trim line

Names, dates, baby's name, parent names are critical content. Within 0.125" of the trim line, they risk being sliced. Keep critical text in the safe zone (inner 4.5x6.5" for a 5x7 card, inner 7x9.5" for a Letter game).

5. Skipping the listing PDF describing what's included

Buyers love a printable summary of what's in a 12-piece suite — invitation + RSVP + 5 games + 3 banners + thank-you. Without it, buyers ask 'is X included?' in support tickets. Toggle the listing PDF add-on; it bundles a 2-page styled summary into the ZIP.
