Challenges we solve

Common problems that slow down your workflow — and how Ratio Ready handles each one.

Creating multiple ratio variants manually

Wall art buyers want options -- 2:3 for an 8x12, 3:4 for a 9x12, 4:5 for an 8x10. Manually cropping and resizing your design for each ratio is repetitive work that multiplies with every new design.

Ensuring 300 DPI across all sizes

Print partners reject files under 300 DPI, and different ratios at different dimensions make it hard to keep track. One low-resolution upload means a blurry print and an unhappy customer.

Making listing mockups for each variant

Buyers want to see your art in a room setting before they purchase. Creating separate mockups for every ratio of every design is one of the most time-consuming parts of running a wall art shop.

Managing files for 5+ ratios per design

Each design generates 10 or more files when you account for multiple ratios in both portrait and landscape. Naming, organizing, and uploading all of those files becomes an operational headache.

One upload, every wall art ratio

Ratio Ready was purpose-built for wall art sellers. Upload once and get every standard ratio, print-ready and organized.

  • 5 standard wall art ratios from a single upload
  • 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, ISO (1:1.414), and 11:14 variants
  • Both portrait and landscape orientations
  • 300 DPI output for production-quality prints
  • PSD mockup generation for room-setting photos
  • Smart cropping that preserves your composition
  • Organized ZIP download with clear file naming
  • AI upscaling for designs that need more resolution
  • Listing preview generation for marketplace images
  • Works with Society6, Redbubble, Fine Art America, and more

Your workflow with Ratio Ready

1

Upload your artwork

Drop in your original design at the highest resolution you have. Ratio Ready accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP up to 50MB. If your image needs more pixels, AI upscaling is applied automatically.

2

Auto-generate 5 wall art ratios

Ratio Ready calculates the optimal crop for each standard frame ratio -- 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, ISO, and 11:14 -- in both portrait and landscape. Every output is 300 DPI and print-ready.

3

Add product mockups

Select a mockup set to place your art into room-setting PSD templates. Buyers can see exactly how your design looks framed on a wall, which drives higher conversion rates on your listings.

4

Download your organized ZIP

Get all your ratio variants, mockups, and listing previews in a single ZIP file with clear folder structure and naming. Upload to Etsy, Society6, or your own store in minutes instead of hours.

When you’d use this

Four common scenarios where Ratio Ready saves the most time:

  1. Launching a 5-ratio bundle for one new design. You finalised a botanical print at 24×36 (2:3) in Procreate. One upload to Ratio Ready outputs 2:3 (24×36), 3:4 (18×24), 4:5 (16×20), 11:14, and ISO A2 — all at 300 DPI. Drop the ZIP into Etsy as a single 5-file digital download bundle.
  2. Refreshing an entire shop's listings to add ISO A-series. Your shop offers US sizes only and you want to capture European/UK buyers. Run every existing master through Ratio Ready batch wall-art processing and the A-series file appears in every listing's bundle. Adds ~40-60% to addressable market.
  3. Quoting a custom commission at non-standard dimensions. A buyer asks for a custom 22×30 print. Use Ratio Ready's poster maker with custom dimensions (22 × 300 = 6,600 wide; 30 × 300 = 9,000 tall) to output a clean 300 DPI file at exactly that size. No Photoshop math required.
  4. Generating styled mockups for the listing gallery. Etsy listings convert better with 5+ photos showing the print in context. Use Ratio Ready's mockup generator with your saved PSD templates to drop the same design into 4-6 styled scenes (above-sofa, gallery wall, bedroom, bathroom). Consistent visual brand without hand-placement.

Common mistakes

Mistakes I’ve seen (and made) that cost real time and refunds:

1. Selling only 4:5 (8×10, 16×20) and missing buyers with 2:3 frames

4:5 is the most common North American portrait ratio, but 2:3 frames (12×18, 24×36) are equally common as statement pieces. Listing only 4:5 leaves a huge audience unable to use your design. Always offer all 5 core ratios.

2. Skipping ISO A-series for international buyers

ISO A-sizes (A4, A3, A2) are the standard outside North America. A US-only bundle excludes 40-60% of potential international Etsy buyers because A-frames don't fit US-ratio files. Add one A-series file (typically A2) — it covers all smaller A-sizes since they share 1:√2 ratio.

3. Cropping a 4:5 file to 11:14 and shipping it

11:14 (≈1:1.27) doesn't match any standard ratio neatly. Cropping a 4:5 file (1:1.25) to 11:14 loses content at the edges, and stretching distorts the image. Always create a dedicated 11:14 file rather than cropping from another ratio.

4. Designing with critical content near the edges

When a single master scales to 5 ratios, the outer 20% of the canvas is the 'crop zone' — different ratios trim different amounts. Keep focal subjects (faces, signatures, text) in the centre 60% so cropping stays invisible across all variants.

5. Forgetting to stamp 300 DPI on the final files

Even if your file is the correct pixel size, a 72 DPI metadata tag tells the buyer's printer to interpret it as 4× larger than intended — soft and unusable. Ratio Ready stamps 300 DPI automatically; if you process elsewhere, run the output through the free DPI fixer.
