Challenges we solve
Common problems that slow down your workflow — and how Ratio Ready handles each one.
Multi-page planner packs balloon prep time
A weekly planner pack might be 15-30 pages — daily, weekly, monthly, habit tracker, goal-setting, gratitude. Resizing each individually for Letter and A4 (international) doubles the work and burns hours that should be design time.
Letter vs A4 sizing trips up half your buyers
US buyers print on Letter (8.5×11). UK/EU/AU/Asia print on A4 (8.27×11.69). Sell only Letter and you exclude 40-60% of international Etsy buyers. Sell only A4 and US buyers complain about the half-inch gap. Solution: deliver both.
Sticker sheets need transparent PNG separately
Most planner packs include a sticker sheet — and the stickers need clean transparent backgrounds for proper die-cutting. JPG kills the alpha channel; manual PNG export per sticker doesn't scale.
File naming chaos breaks the listing
30 PDFs named 'planner-1.pdf' through 'planner-30.pdf' tells buyers nothing. Manual renaming for every pack is tedious, easy to miss, and the kind of thing that costs a star in reviews.

Your workflow with Ratio Ready
Upload your planner pages
Drop 1-50 planner pages in any order. Each gets validated for size and resolution. Hand-illustrated, Procreate-designed, AI-generated, or scanned vintage layouts — all work.
Pick your output sizes
Letter + A4 dual output is the standard. Add A5 for compact-planner buyers, half-letter for travel planners, or B5 for international Stalogy/Hobonichi-compatible inserts.
Process the entire pack
Each page resizes to your selected dimensions at 300 DPI. Sticker sheets get transparent-PNG treatment. Optional listing previews generated with watermark. The whole pack finishes in 60-120 seconds.
Download organised ZIP
Get a single ZIP with letter/ folder + a4/ folder (each containing print-ready PDFs/JPGs at 300 DPI), plus stickers/ folder with transparent PNGs. Listing PDF optional. Upload directly to Etsy.
When you’d use this
Four common scenarios where Ratio Ready saves the most time:
- Launching a 30-page weekly planner pack. You designed 30 pages in Procreate or InDesign — cover, daily, weekly, monthly, habit tracker, gratitude. Drop them all into Ratio Ready, get back Letter + A4 versions plus optional sticker sheet, in 60-90 seconds. Replaces an evening of page-by-page export.
- Adding A4 international support to existing Letter listings. Your shop sells planner packs in Letter only. Re-run every pack through Ratio Ready with Letter + A4 selected; suddenly your listings work for the 40-60% of international buyers using A4. New listings, same source files, doubled addressable market.
- Building a printable sticker pack as a planner add-on. Sell a 30-piece sticker sheet alongside your planner pack as a paired listing or upsell. Run the sticker designs through the clipart processor (transparent PNG, 4096px, alpha-aware), then bundle the sticker sheet PDF alongside the planner pack in the same ZIP.
- Generating a styled listing PDF describing the full pack. Buyers love a printable summary of what's included — daily, weekly, monthly, habit, gratitude pages with thumbnails. Toggle the listing PDF add-on; the ZIP includes a 2-page styled PDF with file inventory and recommended print specs.
Common mistakes
Mistakes I’ve seen (and made) that cost real time and refunds:
1. Selling only Letter or only A4
Letter (8.5×11) is US standard; A4 (210×297mm) is everywhere else. Selling only one excludes 40-60% of your potential international audience. Always offer both — Ratio Ready outputs both from the same source.
2. Saving sticker pages as JPG (loses transparency)
JPG cannot store transparency. Sticker pages saved as JPG fill with white — making die-cutting and layered planner usage impossible. Always deliver stickers as transparent PNG. Ratio Ready's clipart pipeline preserves alpha through the whole process.
3. Embedding 72 DPI images in InDesign or Word planner pages
If your planner pages have decorative borders, illustrations, or photo elements at 72 DPI, the printed planner looks soft despite being at 300 DPI overall. Run any embedded images through the DPI converter before placing them in your layout tool.
4. Generic file naming across the pack
30 PDFs called 'planner-1.pdf' through 'planner-30.pdf' frustrates buyers and generates support tickets. Use descriptive SKU-prefixed names (Botanical_Daily_Letter.pdf, Botanical_Weekly_A4.pdf). Ratio Ready handles this automatically when you set a collection name.
5. Forgetting margin allowances for binder-ring punching
Buyers using binder-ring planners punch holes along one edge. If your design extends to the page edge with critical content (headers, dates, decoration), the punch destroys it. Keep critical content in the inner area; let backgrounds extend to bleed.
